On May 17th 2018, Beijing’s new landmark at the centre of Wangfu – the Serpentine Gallery – and Germany’s first kitchen furniture brand, bulthaup, have brought us a new b Solitaire product series with “和 (b connected)” as the main theme. Daipu Architects was also invited to the event to share its unique insight regarding “和 (b connected)” with the live media, guests, and professionals from different artistic fields.

These beautiful architectural models are housed in bulthaup’s new b Solitaire cabinet series. Bringing the art of modern space into the stage of life, these open-style kitchen cabinets merge the living area and the kitchen into a unified space. Thus, the captivating quality of this random arrangement will make people fully enjoy storage layout.

The b Solitaire series cabinet, with a black aluminum frame and solid oak table tops, which counterbalance the cold feeling metal frame with its warm and natural timber texture, is very successful in creating a warm and welcoming family atmosphere.

“I think this bookcase is more like a space, a building, a bit like a temporary gallery. At first glance you will feel that it is somewhat different in shape, but when you walk closer to see it, all its details and the degree of perfection are very cozy.” said Daipu.

It is worth mentioning that this is also the first time that the famous Serpentine Art Museum in the UK has held art exhibitions outside the UK. The creative space concept advocated by Bulthaup and the vanguard art spirit advocated by the Serpentine Art Museum are happen to have the same view. It also made Bulthaup become the first overseas cooperative brand of the Serpentine Art Museum.
